until the end of time. Let us pray in thanksgiving for the wonderful things
God has accomplished in each of us.
III The Birth of Jesus at Bethlehem
After the birth of Jesus we are told in the Gospels that Mary pondered all
these things in her heart. In the Eucharist, Jesus fulfils his promise to
give us life in abundance. Let us pray that we may always meditate on the
Word of God and the Mystery of his Love.
IV The Presentation at the Temple

Eucharist Jesus fulfils his promise to lead us to the Father. Let us pray
for the grace to bear witness to Christ at all times, in spite of
persecution.
V The Finding in the Temple
Jesus said to his parents: 'Did you not know that I must be about my
Father's affairs.' They did not understand what he was saying. Mary,
however, treasured all these words in her heart. In the Eucharist Jesus
fulfils his promise to be for ever our light and our food for the journey.
Let us pray for awareness of God and of his love in all our trials.
Let us pray
Lord our God, you were pleased to bring joy to the world
through the incarnation of your Son. Grant that we who honour his mother,
the cause of our joy, may always walk in the way of your commandments with
our hearts set on true and lasting joy. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

complete humbling of himself in love and his being raised. Together with
Mary, let us pray to the Father for those who are misunderstood or rejected
by society.

gives us the strength to carry our crosses behind him. Together with Mary

for sinners.
V The Crucifixion
Jesus dies on the Cross. In the Eucharist we participate in the work of our
salvation in Jesus. With Mary let us pray for those in their last agony, the
victims of war and all we know who are in danger of death.
Let us pray
Lord our God, in your eternal wisdom you fill out the
passion of Christ through the sufferings his members endure in the many
trials of this life. As you gave his mother strength in her agony to stand
by the cross of your Son, grant that we too may bring loving comfort to
others in their distress of mind or body. We ask this through Christ our
Lord. Amen.
